| PREVIOUS CLASSES REQUIRED Wheel Throwing Class - 6:00PM PREVIOUS WHEEL THROWING CLASS REQUIRED This is the third week of the Beginner Wheel Throwing Pottery: 6-Week Course Join us for a 6-class series guiding you through the full process of making clay pots—from throwing on the wheel to glazing. Classes meet Thursday nights on the following dates: January 29 · February 5, 12, 19, 26 · March 12 (No class March 5th) The first 5 weeks we will primarily work on the wheels. The final week will focus on glazing your work. All materials (clay, glaze, and kiln firing) are included. | Duluth Folk School Intro Wood Shop Tools Day 2/3 Class - 5:30PM Duluth Folk School Class being held at DMS. You can sign up at: https://duluthfolkschool.com/events/introduction-to-woodshop-power-tools/ for $163.00 This is a three part class: February 10th, 17th, and 24th from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm each evening. Description: Power tools can save time and expand what’s possible in the woodshop, but used improperly, they can also cause mistakes just as quickly. In this three-session class, students will learn the safe and effective use of five core woodworking machines: the table saw, planer, jointer, router, and miter (chop) saw. We’ll focus on shop safety, understanding each tool’s strengths and limitations, and developing good habits for control and consistency. This class is designed as a foundation and confidence-builder, giving students the hands-on experience they need to get comfortable with these tools and prepare for more advanced woodworking projects. | Paper Piece Quilted Table Cloth Class - 9:00AM Paper Piece Quilted Table Cloth This class will take place from 9am to noon You must be familiar with your sewing machine and be able to do basic sewing. Tamara Welzant has learned this method from the two authors who wrote a book and traveled nationwide teaching classes at quilting shops. Since that time, she has created multiple quilts, table runners, throw pillows, and bags. In this class, you will learn how paper pieces is done. A standard sewing machine will be used, thread, scrap fabric.
